Great experience with Thomas Automotive. I came in with a litany of requests including engine work, spark plugs, valve cover gasket, and oil change. They also took time to replace my door handles, which were inoperable. Not only were they finished with the work in about a day, they kept me informed every step of the way and were determined to get me back on the road and out of the shop before the holiday weekend. It was apparent my concerns and schedule were a top priority for them. After all was said and done, they even picked me up and brought me to the shop for pickup. I could go on. Friendly, personable, and no pressure are a few highlights I would add. Family owned. Highly recommend! Thank you so much!

I came to Thomas Automotive for a Missouri vehicle inspection needed for DMV registration, and I had a great experience. They accept walk-ins, which made the process very convenient. The staff was friendly, professional, and had me in and out much faster than I expected. A special thanks to Erica, who was extremely helpful and welcoming from the moment I walked in. She made the whole process easy and stress-free. As a bonus, they even have a cute shop dog that made the visit even better! If you need a vehicle inspection or automotive service in the Independence area, I definitely recommend Thomas Automotive. Thanks again to Erica and the team! 🚗🐾

Do not go to this shop! Worst experience I have ever had with a mechanic. Went in for a simple inspection and was told I needed a lower ball joint for my 2002 Honda Accord, (mind you, my car was solid, never pulled, no noises just a smooth riding car) so he quoted me 250. I thought I should probably do the other side so the quote went from 250 to 650. Guess it needed a lil more labor than what was quoted at first...but whatever...it's an old car with over 200k miles. I paid the man and as soon as I left I could tell something was wrong...I thought maybe they just need "seated" in there, but the noises never went away. A terrible clunking bottoming out noise every time I hit a bump or even uneven pavement. It sounds like my car doesn't have a shock one in the front end now. I called him and told him I wasn't even comfortable driving my car back to his shop so he could see where that noise was coming from it's so bad...so he did tow it from my work. Then he tells me it's nothing they did. That everything is solid but I now have a worn out strut. But I know I didn't have one before they started working on it. He calls me a liar and that it had to have been like that. It most definite

After taking off from work to get my vehicles inspected I found every place either booked solid or closed without online notice but noticing this place in passing I tried them with great success. They were able to help very quickly and for a very reasonable price. I would recommend their services greatly

I brought my car in for a vehicle inspection, they were able to see me immediately and had the inspection knocked out in no time.
